About
DaveWares
Based in the South East of England UK, Dave loves to photograph nature, landscape and more recently dereliction.
Dave has always been involved in art of one kind or another, first by studying Art and design at school and then taking up watercolour painting during his teenage years. Photography was to be the next step in his creative life and he hasn't stopped since.
Dave now has a small amount of his photos for sale on Getty Images and is also a committee member of his local camera club, giving advice to members on digital imaging through basic Photoshop tutorials.
A brief history:
My photography started back in spring 2003 with a small Nikon digital compact camera that I bought for taking family snaps. I soon became more interested in other subjects of photography such as landscapes and animals and within a couple of months I decided that I needed to upgrade to an SLR camera, digital SLRs were way out of my price range so I settled on a Nikon film SLR camera and twin lens kit. Later I got an extra SLR film body and a Sigma 135-400mm zoom lens to do more wildlife photography. Up until Jan06 I had been using slide film then scanning the images into Photoshop, but with the price of digital bodies dropping (and the fact that my film scanner broke) I ended up moving into the digital world buying a Nikon Dslr. The freedom of digital has, I believe, enabled me to improve my photography at a much more increased rate. There's no going back now!
I hope you enjoy my pictures and many thanks for stopping by.
